Our May Meeting 5/20/2024 has been Cancelled
Due to a Schedule Change by the North Coastal Area Caucus that conflicts with our May meeting, we are cancelling our meeting so that we can attend this important Caucus endorsement meeting. We will reschedule Amber Kae as soon as possible (likely in June).
The First of Our “Meet Our Local Candidates” Series
Local election campaigns are getting into high gear with many candidates working full time on their campaigns and attending as many events as possible. Our club has decided to feature local candidates for offices in Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista individually in the coming months. This will give our club members a chance to get to know each candidate and their positions on issues they select and as they define them. This is something that is often missing in the typical candidate forum.
Oak Tree Democrat’s mission is to serve the political interests of Seniors and we hope candidates will share their views on some of these topics. We don’t want to limit what candidates discuss, but we are offering the following topics we know are interesting. Questions from the audience will be curated.
Senior Centers
City Services for Seniors
City Transportation
Emergency and Disaster Services
Communicating with Senior Voters
We intend these sessions to be fun, interesting and respectful.
Amber Kae Niuatoa
